30 Days of Organizing

Updated: Feb 17

Welcome to our 30 Days of Motivation & Organizing: a simple, realistic reset designed to refresh both your space and your mindset.

This isn't about all-day purges or achieving 'Pinterest perfection.' It’s about manageable steps paired with the daily encouragement you need to actually see them through.  Over the next 30 days, we’ll tackle the spaces that quietly collect clutter while quieting the inner critic that holds you back. By pairing practical systems with consistent motivation, you won’t just end the month with a cleaner home — you’ll have the momentum to keep it that way.

Let’s simplify and stay inspired, one day at a time.

Day 1 Motivation: Welcome 2026

New year. Fresh start. This month is the perfect time to reset your home and create systems that support the life you’re living now, not the one you used to live. Let’s make this the year your home works for you.

Day 1 Organizing: Pantry

Toss expired food and spices.

Day 2 Motivation: New Year Reset

Your house doesn’t need a makeover—it needs a reset. Decluttering and organizing create clarity, calm, and momentum for the year ahead.

Day 2 Organizing: Food Storage Containers

Toss Containers that don’t have matching lids/mates.

Day 3 Motivation: Get Your House Fit

Think of organizing as wellness for your home. Strong systems. Less stress. Better flow. A fit house supports a busy life.

Day 3 Organizing: Dining Linens

Toss/Donate stained or worn placemats, napkins, and other dining linens.

Day 4 Motivation: Progress Over Perfection

Organizing isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress—and creating spaces that are easier to maintain day after day.

Day 4 Organizing: Serveware

Toss/Donate serveware that is broken, or you no longer use.

Day 5 Motivation: 15-Minute Win

Small wins add up. Start with just 15 minutes in one small space and watch the momentum build.

Day 5 Organizing: Cookware

Toss/Donate cooking items that you no longer use, or have multiples of.

Day 6 Motivation: Decluttering Mindset

You don’t have to keep things just because you made room for them once. Letting go creates space for what’s next.

Day 6 Organizing: Bathroom Products

Toss expired products and broken items you no longer use.

Day 7 Motivation: Sunday Reset

A simple Sunday reset can change your entire week. A few intentional minutes today = a calmer, more organized tomorrow.

Day 7 Organizing: Bathroom Towels

Toss/Donate worn, stained or torn towels you no longer use.

Day 8 Motivation: If You Don't Use It, It's Gone

Do you really need that thing that's been sitting under the sink for two years? Probably not.

Day 8 Organizing: Bathroom Vanity

Toss/Donate worn, stained or torn towels you no longer use. Bonus: fold your towels and sort them by type!

Day 9 Motivation: Clutter is Easy to Accumulate + Get Rid Of

You aren’t messy—you're busy. Organization is achievable, just start.

Day 9 Organizing: Bathroom

Take this time to edit hair tools, bath robes, spa items, personal products, and

anything else you no longer use.

Day 10 Motivation: Habits Over Hustle

The secret to staying organized isn’t doing more—it’s building better habits that last all year.

Day 10 Organizing: Coat Closet

Donate/Toss coats, shoes, accessories that are damaged or no longer worn. Take this time to move misc. Items from the coat closet to their true homes.

Day 11 Motivation: "I want to see my closet floor again"

An organized closet removes daily decision fatigue. Less clutter. Clear choices. Better mornings.

Day 11 Organizing: Closet Reset

Closets can be overwhelming. Start small. Focus on shoes: toss or donate outgrown/damaged/ and unworn shoes.

Day 12 Motivation: Emotional Decluttering

Clutter isn’t just physical—it’s emotional. The new year is a great time to release what no longer serves your life or your home.

Day 12 Organizing: Clothing

Focus only on one category of clothing at a time. Toss/Donate unwanted or damaged clothing items.

Day 13 Motivation: Before & After

Transformation doesn’t have to be dramatic to be meaningful. Sometimes it’s just creating systems that finally make sense and make a difference.

Day 13 Organizing: Accessories

Toss/Donate any non-shoe accessories that you no longer wear.

Day 14 Motivation: Mid-Month Motivation

If January hasn’t gone exactly as planned, that’s okay. A fresh start can happen any day—not just the beginning of the month.

Day 14 Organizing: Linen Closet

Toss/Donate torn or worn linens you no longer use. We suggest having two sets

of linens for each bed. Use this time to move any misc. Items from the linen closet to their true homes.

Day 15 Motivation: Peace of mind

Your mind is cluttered, choose to have peace of mind in your safe space.

Day 15 Organizing: Medicine

Toss Expired Medications. Bonus Points: sort your medications into categories like: pain relief, allergy, stomach, etc.

Day 16 Motivation: You could always outsource

Organized homes are meant to be lived in. We create systems that work for real families, real schedules, and real life.

Day 16 Organizing: Bedside Table

Take everything out- we mean everything! Only put back the items you truly

 use.

Day 17 Motivation: Reset

January is the perfect time to organize what is on the surface. Clear systems now save time and stress all year long.

Day 17 Organizing: Bedroom Surfaces

Take this time to assess the surfaces of your bedside tables, dressers, etc. This can quickly become a dumping zone. Place all items back in their true homes, and consider placing a bin in this area to contain items that end up here often.

Day 18 Motivation: Consistency Wins

The most organized homes aren’t perfect—they’re consistent. Small resets done regularly make the biggest difference.

Day 18 Organizing: Guest Room

The guest room can quickly become a storage space. Take inventory of the items in this space, and determine if this is their best home. Place items that don’t belong here into their true homes.

Day 19 Motivation: New Season of Life

New year often brings new seasons—moves, growing families, downsizing, changing routines. Your home should evolve with you.

Day 19 Organizing: Christmas

This tends to be the largest category, and may need special attention. Toss/Donate items you no longer use. A good rule of thumb is to edit out items that have not been used in two years or more.

Day 20 Motivation: Keep Work + Home Separate

An organized workspace improves focus, productivity, and peace of mind. Start the year with systems that support how you work today.

Day 20 Organizing: Office

Toss/Donate items you no longer use. Find a home for all papers.

Day 21 Motivation: Weekend Declutter

One space. One category. One win. Weekend decluttering doesn’t have to be overwhelming to be effective.

Day 21 Organizing: Seasonal Holidays

The remainder of seasonal items tend to be smaller categories. Take inventory of these, and toss/donate the items you no longer use.

Day 22 Motivation: Guilt-Free Letting Go

You are allowed to let go of items tied to past versions of your life. Your home should reflect where you are now.

Day 22 Organizing: Vases

We all have a stash of vases lurking somewhere. Keep only the vases you use on a regular basis, and donate the rest!

Day 23 Motivation: Maintenance Matters

Organization isn’t a one-time project—it’s a system. When maintenance is simple, staying organized becomes easier.

Day 23 Organizing: Outdoor Liquids

Toss any expired or no longer used outdoor liquids. This includes paint, car care, gardening/yard products, insect/pest control, etc.

Day 24 Motivation: You got this!

You're so close to an organized space and mind. Keep going!

Day 24 Organizing: Outdoor Tools

Toss/Donate tools and yard tools you no longer use, or have multiples of.

Day 25 Motivation: Utilize your real estate

Garages, closets, and storage rooms often offer prime real estate. When organized correctly, they become some of the most functional spaces in your home.

Day 25 Organizing: Outdoor Toys

Toss/Donate any entertainment or toy items you no longer use, or that have been outgrown.

Day 26 Motivation: Less Stuff, More Life

Less clutter creates room for what matters most—time, energy, and peace of mind.

Day 26 Organizing: Gardening

Toss/Donate gardening supplies you no longer use, or have multiples of.

Day 27 Motivation: 2026 Isn’t Over

There’s still time to reset your home this month. A strong start sets the tone for the rest of the year.

Day 27 Organizing: Storage Clothing

Toss/Donate any stored clothing you no longer wear.

Day 28 Motivation: Support Makes a Difference

You don’t have to do it all yourself. Having support turns overwhelming projects into manageable progress. Call in the fam!

Day 28 Organizing: Storage Decor

Toss/Donate any stored decor you no longer use.

Day 29 Motivation: Looking Ahead

An organized home doesn’t just support this month—it supports the entire year ahead.

Day 29 Organizing: Misc. Papers

Toss/Donate/Shred any paper you no longer need or use for reference. This includes books, magazines, files, cards, etc.

Day 30 Motivation: Close the Month Strong

New year. New systems. New sense of calm.

Day 30 Organizing: Media

Toss/Donate any media items you no longer need or use. This includes chargers, CD’s, DVD’s, game consoles, wires, etc.

Let’s carry this momentum forward and keep your house fit all year long.
